Love Stories....Fall 2009

A family of five wrote to say, "Thank you so much for helping us with our auto repairs.  It's good to know there are people who cared about us!" Their income was decreased when the father's hours were cut to 32 hours a week.  Car repair costs were being but off and the vehicle was no longer safe.

Another family of five were suffering when the dad's hours were cut at Elyria Foundry.  They were short food money, and we were able to assist them with a gift card provided by a member church.

A woman on disability and SSI, need help to pay her rent.  She was helped by her church, Church of the Open Door, who was able to get her rent bill current.

Transportation to doctor's appointments were provided by drivers from Trinity Lutheran Church and Harvest Christian Church.  We are greatful to the help drivers can do for clients.  Are you free to help people without transportation, get to Cleveland and local doctor's appointments?

A mother of two called for help with an electric bill.  Her boyfriend lost his job.  He found another job, but would not be gettin paid for a while.  This need was met through St. Joseph's Church in Amherst.

When her husband was laid off from the steel mill, the couple was unable to pay for their mortgage.  Their church helped them with one month's mortgage payment and two month's late fees.

A client called for a ride to downtown Cleveland for two medical appointments.  None of our drivers were avaliable for that day.  Before the client had to cancel his appointments, one of our younger volunteers from Harvest Christian Church, stepped forward and provided for th need.
